History of Creal Springs

        In 1881 Edward G. Creal discovered multiple mineral springs. These springs attracted tourists and made Creal a summer hot spot for those who wanted to experience the springs healing capabilities. In 1892 Creal became an official city. The area soon became a popular destination for Civil War veterans wanting a final resting place. From 1884-1916 Creal had a college known as the Creal Springs College and Conservatory of Music. Today Creal is a small town with big pride.
